Grades will be divided as follows:

 

Lab Assignments

Lab Assignments are graded either true or false; the assignment is completed or not completed. Assignments will be marked true after a successful demonstration of the execution of the program.

 

Quizzes

Each quiz is worth 5% of the grade. They are designed to gauge students comprehension of the lectures, homework, and programming skills. In addition each quiz will consist of a number of problems extracted from former Java AP exams.

 

Midterm

The midterm is worth 20% of the grade. The midterm is designed to gauge students comprehension of the lectures, homework and programming materials covered during the quarter. The midterm is designed to help students prepare for their AP test in the Spring.

 

Projects

Projects are to be completed individually and will be marked according to the listed project rubrics.
